Relocating to Las Vegas? Here’s my story

Those of you that know me, know that I’m originally from Kansas City. I lived in Tampa Bay, Florida and Fort Collins, Colorado over the years also, but Kansas City was always home. After my mom passed away, I decided I needed a change of scenery. Without any kids or family to worry about, I decided to visit a few cities and see what I thought. After spending a few weeks in Vegas I decided it was the city for me.

What do I like about Las Vegas you ask? I love that there’s always something to do. Always a show to go see, a great band playing somewhere, amazing new restaurants to try, and it never snows a foot and is -15 degrees. The only reason I’m ever home in Vegas, is because I don’t feel like doing anything. It’s not because there’s nothing to do, as was frequently an issue in Kansas City after living there for almost 30 years.

I also love how diverse the city is. Whatever you like to do, you can find a group of people that share your interest here. My business partner David has a group of Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans he watches the football games with. I found a Kansas City Chiefs bar filled with die hard Chiefs fans from Kansas City that have relocated here. I have Filipino and Laos friends that have found a community of people that celebrate and embrace their culture. No matter where you’re from, you can find a segment of Las Vegas that makes it feel like home.

Moving to a new city is always difficult. It seems daunting and of course you’re gonna miss your friends and family.  The great thing about this city is you can find things that remind you of home no matter what state or country you’re from. If you need to find your football team’s Las Vegas Chapter, send me a message and I’ll gladly help you locate them! As always, if you need any real estate help, reach out to us and we can set up a free consultation to see what we can do to help. Go Chiefs!
